Au Bon Grès 2015 Michel Guignier

Winery: Michel Guignier

Viticulture: natural! Made as it once was!

Region: France - Beaujolais

Grape variety: 100% Gamay from vineyards classified as "Beaujolais Village" although Michel rejects any sort of naming process

Alcohol: 12,5% vol

Volume: 0,75l

Wine making: spontaneous fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration for about 10 days in concrete tanks

Aging: approximately two years in old large oak barrels and subsequent five years in bottle; no clarification, filtration or addition of sulphites

Serve at: 16-18° C

About him: the vineyard is located between the Granite and La Bonne Pioche parcels on Michel's farm. After vinification, the juice age for a long time between wood and bottle and for this we are infinitely grateful to the producer!
A wine with great structure, depth and complexity without having sacrificed its vitality. The tannins have had plenty of time to integrate and create a wonderfully balanced wine. It's a great example of how wines without added sulphites can age well if kept in good condition and we are delighted to be able to let you try it!
