Sangiovese according to Danilo Marcucci!
The plants of this now old vineyard were donated by the Biondi Santi family and today they give away a few but fantastic grapes which are macerated on the skins for about fifteen days and then remain in ultra-centennial Hungarian oak tonneaux for a very long time.
One would expect it to be very soft and super tannic, instead from the first sip it's exalted by a large juicy fruit and still full of vitality; black cherry, herbaceous, earthy and with delicate slightly perceptible wood notes, tannins yes, but well dosed for a long and beautiful finish. Very interesting Sangiovese made in Umbria.
