DOMAINE DANDELION - Bourgogne

Morgane Seuillot created Domaine Dandelion in Mavilly-Mandelot, in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, in 2016 by taking over one hectare of family vineyard. She with her partner Christian Knott planted vines around their home in Mavilly and gradually expanded the Domaine. This territory of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune suits them perfectly: the harvest can be waited patiently, much later than in Côte de Beaune or Côte de Nuits. The grapes benefit from the freshness of these altitude plots, and this is reflected in the wines.
Guided by the experience of Christian - former cellar master of Chandon de Briailles - they work in the vineyard and cellar in the most natural way possible: no sulphur, minimal doses of copper, plowing with horses & natural treatments. The grapes are harvested when fully ripe, pressed on an old vertical press, then aged in old barrels.
The wines are of great delicacy, characterized by great precision and balance. Morgane pays great attention to all the details, from the work in the vineyard to the labels made manually with a 15th century Auvergne mill.
