The Domaine de Saint Pierre is the great pride of Fabrice Dodane, a talented winemaker who bought the vines and estate from his former employers, Hubert and Renaud Moyne, in 2012 (after having worked with them since the late 1980s, and only a year later he officially switched to organic viticulture). Fabrice's property is located in the Jura and more precisely in the tiny town of Mathenay (just 150 inhabitants in total), not far from Arbois.
Saint Pierre is a winery of about 6 hectares, with vineyards that grow on a land composed largely of a mixture of clays, limestone rocks and gray marls. Fabrice cultivates several types of grape varieties here, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau and Melon à Queue Rouge. Thanks to them, he produces wines that can be defined as super authentic and which perfectly reflect the fantastic local terroir. Unmissable!!!
