Masseria Case Rosse
One of the most exciting wines drunk recently!
Mostly Grenache Noir but also a small part of Nerello Mascalese, from a single very old vineyard located at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters on Mount Etna in the Santa Caterina district.
Both fermentation and aging take place in old chestnut wooden barrels also from Mount Etna.
Delicate and very rich, both in aromas and on the palate it has herbaceous sensations and small red fruits, great freshness that does not reveal either the high alcohol content or the clearly present tannic note. Relaxing, delicate notes of spices and minerals also emerge, but it's always disarmingly fresh... here the territory really makes the difference!
Note for super fun...reminiscent of some Pinot Noir by the legendary Yann Durieux...
