A devastatingly good Chardonnay!
The super patient and reserved Thomas Popy, cultivates two hectares of vineyard, which draws lifeblood from splendid terroirs located near Montigny-lès-Arsures, Pupillin, Arbois and Mesnay.
This wine comes from three different parcels (Clos Bareth, Guille Bouton and Sous La Roche du Feu), all over fifty years old. Each wine spent two years in old wooden barrels and then was assembled and spent a further year in wood.
A wine carved in the rock so shockingly good thanks to an incredible minerality and flavor! Balanced in every detail, elegant and a perfect demonstration of power but not heaviness. As it warms up, delicate notes of citrus and candied fruit also emerge, which prolong a wonderful finish. TOP!!!
