EMILIE MUTOMBO
We are delighted to be able to share with you the cuvées of another emerging young star in the panorama of natural wines, Emilie Mutombo!
Very special bottles that leave their mark for their lightness like a feather, but also fullness of flavours. Each one is finished with a beautiful label designed by Emilie's brother, the artist Frédéric Mutombo.
Born and raised in Brussels, Emilie now produces wine in Bonastre, part of the Baix Penedès in Catalonia. Inspired by the surge of natural wine all over Brussels, Emilie left her career in the events industry and plunged headlong into a new adventure. When she tasted Partida Creus wines at the fair, it was love at first sip! After studying oenology she went to work with Massimo and Antonella of Partida Creus, where she oversaw every aspect of the business and formed a lifelong friendship.
Her first wine was released in 2017, but now her production has consolidated and expanded, always remaining a niche given the few bottles.
The vinification methods include the classic maceration, the semi-carbonic one and also the infusion in which the whole bunch grapes are suspended in the directly pressed must. For ageing, wood and stainless steel. Quite simply, Emilie does what she likes to drink and she doesn't hesitate to adapt her methods to achieve just that. Let's enjoy them together!
