JAI GURU DEVA 2020
Shun Minowa
First vintage of the new label by the talented Shun Minowa. The Jai Guru Deva is a field blend (all the varieties come from the same vineyard and are vinified together) obtained from grapes from a different vineyard from the one used for the Gate, just as the vinification and agement were different, wisely adapted to obtain another vision from its predecessor, but always and only strictly orange shades!
Mostly Ortugo, but also Malvasia di Candia, Moscato, Marsanne and Sauvignon Blanc macerated on the skins in concrete for a month and then left to relax, partly in old acacia barrels and partly in steel.
The aromas are heavenly aromatic, with notes of citrus, white flowers, honey, cinnamon and spices.
Direct like the Gate, but gentler, with a tannic note that is well perceived and which suggests great aging potential; a few minutes to finally open up and release all the sensations perceived by the nose on the palate, with the addition of a sapidity and acidity that embellish the drink.
The engraving to obtain the design shown on the label by Ayumi Takahashi.
New vintage available (with different vinification):
Jai Guru Deva 2021 - €26.90
Wine Symphony wine shop of natural wines from small winemakers with a big heart.
